Arrangements...

I developed an interest in arranging music, primarily for wind instruments, while still at High School and during my late teenage years, mainly because I played in a Symphonic Band and a ten piece wind ensemble (Kappa Wind Players). However, many years elapsed before I returned to this interest, when I became Music Librarian for the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra for several years. This developed my skills to arrange pieces for full orchestra, including voices, and helped my composing work along the way. Whilst fewer opportunities have presented themselves in recent years, arranging techniques are never quite forgotten, so may get called upon again from time to time in the future.
